Israeli parliament passes law limiting Supreme Court power amid mass protests

Israel’s parliament approved a law on Monday that will curb the power of the Supreme Court. It is the first of several proposed judicial reforms to be voted into law, despite months of protests from tens of thousands of Israelis who believe the overhaul threatens Israel’s democracy.
